Newborn Information:
There is just nothing in this world like a newborn baby…the tiny, tiny feet and hands…the baby fine hair….the tiny eyelashes! My goodness…it’s all there, just in a perfect miniature form! You really need to capture all of the nuances of this incredible little person, because in the blink of an eye, they’re going to be growing…and changing…and developing every moment of every day.
The very best time to capture the miracle of a newborn, is within the first 0-10 days of their little lives…the earlier, the better. During this time, they’re still very sleepy, and don’t mind being handled. After about two weeks, most newborns will start to fuss a little more…they won’t sleep quite as much…and will prefer to stretch out, instead of curling up into a little ball. And, of course, they’re always growing, and changing, and the chance to capture those initial precious moments after birth will be gone forever…
Newborn portraits sessions can run 2-3 hours long, because we completely cater to the comfort of your little one…we’ll stop for feedings, changing, and generally work around the little one’s schedule. For everyone’s comfort, we suggest than you don’t schedule anything else for the day of your newborn portrait session.
For a newborn session (0-10 days old) we can arrange to hold the session in your home if that would be more convenient for Mom and baby. We would need you to contact the studio well in advance of the birth, so that we can make all the necessary arrangements.
Even if you prefer to come to our studio for your newborn session, please contact the studio well in advance of your due date, because we all know that sometimes nature decides to ruffle things up a bit, and timelines can go out the window. Since we cannot accurately predict when the best session date will be, we will need to be prepared for any eventuality.
In order to secure your session – and all sessions are by appointment only – the session fee must be paid at the time of scheduling either by PayPal invoice from the studio using a credit card, or by check. All session fees must be received by the studio within 72 hours of scheduling, or your session date/time could be in jeopardy of being lost. All session fees include Terri’s time to set up…photograph…edit…and retouch the images taken at your session.

THE BABY PLAN:
A baby plan is when you invest in a set number of sessions to use over the months (or years) ahead. We all know that once a milestone passes, there is no getting it back. With a baby plan, you will have the opportunity to capture not only his/her favorite milestones, but the relationship within your family as well. Moms, Dads and siblings are welcome to participate in any of the sessions. The suggested time frames are not required…you can choose to book your sessions at any time during the first two years of your child’s development.
Payment for the plan is due before your first session.
Here is our Baby Plan Investment – we have two options:
NEWBORN THROUGH THE FIRST YEAR: $900.00 ($1,200.00 value – a savings of $300.00). This plan includes a $375.00 print credit, and five sessions (NB-3 mos: lifting head-6 mos: sitting up-9 mos: crawling or walking -12 mos: 1st birthday). Print credits are distributed at $75.00 per session.
FIRST YEAR: $675.00 ($800.00 value – a savings of $125.00). This plan includes a $260.00 print credit, and four sessions (3-6-9-12 mos). Print credits are distributed at $65.00 per session.
To add twins or siblings to any session, there is an additional charge of $25.00 per person/per session. All plan participants joining in 2012 will receive a 10% discount off all orders placed throughout the year.
Plans are for studio sessions, except for the newborn (0-10 days old) ‘ in your home’ option.
